TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – A 3-year-old boy, identified as Zane Thurber sitting in a child restraint seat was killed in a smash of five-car in Taylorsville, Saturday night.

Two other people in the car, a 6-year-old boy and the adult male driver, were also injured and remained hospitalized Sunday.
Police officials said the wreck involving 5 cars happened in the area near 5400 South Canal St. Saturday around 8:30 p.m.
Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department said a Dodge Ram truck whose driver is identified as Manuel de Jesus Guinea, 55-year-old man from Kearns struck a Subaru that was stopped at a junction, and after the truck pushed the Subaru, three other vehicles became involved in the accident.
Police shut down 5400 South for several hours after the incident.
