Federal Autopsy Report of Michael Brown Released Today

December 9, 2014 Posted by Editor

Autopsy Report of Michael Brown
Following the Ferguson shooting, the federal autopsy report of Michael Brown was released today and was similar to the report made by the local officials from Ferguson, Missouri.
The federal autopsy report was released by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, conducted after the Department of Justice requested it. The report was among the grand jury documents released by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch. The attorney released the document on Monday without giving too much explanation.

The other documents included the transcripts of eight federal interviews of those who claimed to have witnessed the Ferguson shooting back in August. The documents also included the police radio traffic and an audio recording of officer Wilson shooting Brown.

Many of the documents released on Monday were similar to the ones revealed by McCulloch on November 24, after the grand jury agreed not to indict police office Darren Wilson for the death of Michael Brown.
The interviews of those who witnessed the Ferguson shooting were included in the documents released with the federal autopsy report of Michael Brown.

The recently released autopsy report of Michael Brown revealed that the 18-year-old black man died from multiple gunshot wounds. The report also said that Brown had severe chest and head injuries, noting that the chest injury could have been an exit wound from the shot that pierced Brown’s arm. The autopsy report also revealed that Brown had a gunshot wound to his right hand, evidence of a close range shot.

The officer who shot Brown, Darren Wilson told the local grand jury that his gun went off while he struggled with Brown. He said that the gun went off through the car window, before Brown was shot to death.
The grand jury documents that have been released do not include a transcript of the interview with Dorian Johnson, Brown’s friend, who was with Brown when he got shot.

Johnson said that he was walking with Brown on a street in Ferguson when they encountered officer Wilson. Johnson testified that Brown was unarmed and was shot to death by Wilson after a struggle.
