NASA’s New Horizons probe, which made history last summer with its flyby of dwarf planet Pluto, was given the green light to travel deeper into the Kuiper Belt and explore another Kuiper Belt object, dubbed 2014 MU69. New dwarf planet discovered beyond Kuiper belt
Astronauts have found a new dwarf planet far beyond the orbit of Pluto. The Carnegie Institution for Science in a report said that Carnegie’s Scott Sheppard and Chadwick Trujillo of the Gemini Observatory detailed the discovery of a distant dwarf planet.
