About 1,700 Egyptian Mummies Found in Ancient Burial Site

Archaeologists from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, have already unearthed about 1,700 well-preserved mummies in an ancient cemetery in Egypt. Researchers say they have been excavating in this cemetery for nearly 30 years and the work is yet not done since there seems to be more than 1 million bodies buried there. Entirely Intact Mummified Steppe Bison Found in Siberia

A team of researchers has been conducting studies on the largest and best preserved steppe bison mummies found in Siberia. Mummy Found in Garage in Pontiac, Michigan Finally Identified

On March 5 2014 the mummified remains of a woman were found inside a garage in Pontiac, Michigan. The investigators had no idea who the woman was or why she died and now a breakthrough was made in the case of the unknown mummy. Chiquita: Among 500-year-old Infant Mummies with Birth Defect

The researchers have found two infant mummies namely, Chiquita and the Pedro Mountain mummy, in Wyoming. Researchers say, infant mummies with a specific birth defect are very rare.
