Thomas Frieden, the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said on Friday that this flu season is going to be a severe one. CDC: 75 Scientists Possibly Exposed To Anthrax

As many as 75 scientists at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta may have been exposed to dangerous anthrax bacteria because of a safety problem at one of its labs. E.coli outbreak in Idaho, Wshington linked to sprouts, hummus

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed seven cases of E. coli infection associated with raw clover sprouts. According to CDC, the other three likely cases of E.coli are also reported in the United States. All the reported cases are either from Idaho or Washington.
