Utah physician amongst five in the country to win funding for research

SALT LAKE CITY: Dr. Kevin Jones, a pediatric oncologist at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, is one of the five in the country who won the funds for his further research on childhood cancer. His research is mainly focussed on the metabolism in alveolar soft part sarcoma genesis. Cancer cell metabolism is a growing field of study. Number of Dead Bald Eagles from West Nile reached 40

SALT LAKE CITY:  According to the wildlife officials of Utah, the count of dead bald eagles from West Nile Virus has reached to 40, on Monday and  five others are being treated in wildlife rehabilitation center. Suicide an emerging issue in some Utah jails

A jail worker on March 10, 2011 found Cory Jex hanging from a shower head. Cory didn’t followed to the cafeteria for a meal that day. He was on life support for three days before he died. Cory Jex, was subject to spend a couple of days in the Spanish Fork facility as he was tested positive for opiates and admitted to his probation officer that he had used heroin. Gay Marriage tourism not on Utah’s list

A federal judge has declined to order a stay in the demand that Utah start licensing and recognizing same-sex marriages while the appeals process begins. KUTV is Utah’s Late News Ratings Winner

KUTV was announced as the latest winner of the late-news television ratings. During November, KSL climbed 3%, other stations suffered drops of 24% to 33%. The November sweeps had KUTV first, KSL, KSTU and KTVX trailing behind. The ratings for Monday through Friday late-news showed that KUTV had approximately 89,000 households to 62,400 for KSL.
