Samsung To Cut Smartphone Models by a Third

Samsung decided to reduce the number of smartphone models  by a third starting with next year. The decision comes after the Korean company received a couple of wake up calls this year. Samsung Suing NVIDIA For Chip Patents and False Claims About its Products

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has sued Nvidia Corp for infringing several of its chip-related patents and for making false claims about its products. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Phablet Available at AT&T from October 24

Samsung Third-Quarter Earnings Slump

Samsung expects the third quarter to be its least profitable one in the last three years. The news is not a complete shock, but even so, it is still lower than expected. Samsung to Invest $14.7 Billion in New South Korea Chip Plant

Samsung will build a new chip plant in South Korea. The total investments in the Pyeongtaek-based factory will reach $14.7 billion (KRW 15.6 trillion). Samsung will produce memory chips or processor chips, according to market demand. LG Executive Accused by Samsung of Washing Machine Sabotage

Weird news has surfaced as rival electronic giant Samsung, accused LG executive of vandalizing their property. LG is trying to iron out allegations. Nvidia Sues Qualcomm, Samsung over Patent Infringement

Apple Desired Ban on Samsung Smartphones not Granted by Judge

On Wednesday, a San Jose Federal judge didn’t rule in favor of Apple. As a result, Apple will not be entitled to its desired court-ordered sales ban on the nine Samsung smartphones that were found to violate iPhone’s patent rights.
