Japan Plans to Continue Whaling in 2015, despite International Ban

Although an International Court of Justice forbid the practice, Japan will continue whale hunting in the Southern Ocean in the fiscal year 2015. However, the number of whales will be cut to a third of this year’s catch target. Japan Confirms Dengue Fever Infections

Japanese health officials have confirmed the country’s first Dengue fever infections in 70 years. They said on Thursday that three young people have become infected with the Dengue fever virus and that they are thought to have contracted the disease after being bitten by infected mosquitos in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park. All-Oral Hepatitis C Treatment

Great news for Hep C sufferers! The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has announced today, July 7, 2014, that it has approved the first all-oral hepatitis C treatment. The drug is a combination of daclatasvir and asunaprevir and it treats patients with genotype 1 chronic hep C virus infection and the drug can even treat those with compensated cirrhosis of the liver. ‘Phony’ stem cell research fabricated, guilty scientists to be punished in Japan
