Mastodon Bones Found in Michigan Backyard

Two men from Michigan have unearthed the bones that belonged to a giant Ice Age creature, the distant relative of the modern-day elephant, the mastodon. The bones were right in the backyard of one of the two men. A new study has revealed some unique insights into the death rituals practiced during the last Ice Age that came over North America. Ice Age Infant Remains Unearthed in Alaska

The discovery of a burial site containing the remains of two infants gives archeologists a glimpse at the cultural practices of Native Americans at the end of the last Ice Age in Alaska.
