During SDCC 2017, Westworld released its first and an early Season 2 trailer,
The San Diego Comic Con which ended Sunday, July 23, came with more than its fair share of trailers, news, and managed to really stir up the interest of fans. But one of the arguably biggest surprises came from the Westworld panel. At the very end, just before leaving, attendees were rewarded with their first look at what is to come in the show’s Season 2.
This came as quite a surprise as no premiere date has been announced for this second season, although reports place a possible release either late this year or more likely sometime in 2018.

Possible Spoilers Ahead from the Westworld Season 2 Trailer
Westworld’s second season will seemingly be an even bloodier and more violent affair if the trailer is any indication. The first season spelled trouble for the visitors, and things will apparently go south very soon for those within the park.
The Season 2 trailer begins with saloon’s piano and a haunting melody which then transitions into a room full of bodies. Maeve (played by Thandie Newton) is one of the two taking a look at the carnage in the backstage of the park. A dead tiger, bloody or dead people in the saloon and similar such imagery is in abundance in the 1:50 minutes trailer.
One of its most visual elements is Delores (Evan Rachel Wood’s character) riding a horse and firing a rifle at what are presumably still surviving visitors. The first Season 2 trailer ends with Ed Harris’s Man in Black smirking to the camera, although with a cut up face still oozing blood.
The trailer’s soundtrack was “I Gotta Be Me” from Sammy Davis Jr. and included no other dialogue. This second season of the critically and viewer acclaimed show just recently started filming.

Earlier this month, HBO’s Westworld snagged the most nominations, 22, for the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. Westworld also ranks as the network’s original season with the most watched first season and used to hold the title of highest viewership on the season premiere, before Games of Thrones rolled in.
