Instagram released a new update that may bring a piece of mind to all of its users. From now on, you will be able to edit those failed captions that made you go through sleepless nights. No more failed hashtags to haunt you from now on. Auf Wiedersehen, grammar Nazis!
The update makes so much sense that we can’t stop asking why Instagram hasn’t introduced the feature earlier on. Instagram briefly explained what the new update contains in a blog post. The company said that
“This has been one of the top requests that we’ve heard from the community, and we’re excited to finally bring it to you today.”
So make sure you have the latest Instagram version, 6.2 for Apple App Store and 6.1 for Google Play. Afterward, just click on the three dots beside the picture and you’ll have a short menu at your disposal. You can either change the caption’s text, tag people, or edit or remove the location.
But there are other nice stuff as well coming with the latest update. If discovering and following new people is your passion, the Explore page now gives you an extra option. When you tap Explore, you’ll now have two different options, Photos and People. While the Photos option is the old Discovery page you have been using so far, People will show you interesting, well, people, from your area while taking into account the characteristics of those you already follow. People you follow on other networks will show up there as well, along with a preview of their latest activity.
Instagram says that 40 percent of the daily users go to the Discovery page, so improving it with another option makes perfect sense.
