Four students from University of Utah went on to decide to use a hidden snow igloo to smoke weed on campus.
These students either constructed or found an abandoned igloo made of snow that had walls about 10 inches thick and was about four feet tall in the woods in the Red Butte Creek area between resident housing and Research Park, according to University of Utah police Sgt. Garth Smith.
Smith added that the igloo was large enough to hold four men and also was pretty well camouflaged.
The incident took place in January earlier this year. It came into light when a campus security guard was passing by the area in and heard some noises and discovered the igloo and students inside.
The moment police arrive there; it smelled a strong odor of marijuana and found all of them smoking it inside.
Subsequently, all four were referred to campus officials to determine the nature and quantum of punishment for being caught smoking marijuana on campus.
This was the first incident for Smith in last 14 years as a university police officer.
