Brownie Samukai, Liberia’s Defense Minister, has released an official statement in which he said that the troops which are enforcing the West Point slum Ebola quarantine in Monrovia did not shoot directly at residents on Wednesday, August 20. South Pasadena Police declared on Monday that they had stopped a mass shooting plot by arresting two teenagers who were plotting to kill several staff members and as many students as they could at the high school they were attending, the South Pasadena High School. Dozens Shot over Independence Day Weekend in Chicago

The 4th of July weekend was particularly blood-ridden in Chicago, where 60 people were shot and nine of the shooting victims succumbed in the South Side area of the city starting with Thursday afternoon.
