The German flight company recently disclosed that a new Lufthansa app for Apple watch keeps users up to date with important information related to their upcoming flights. The decision was adopted after the members of the German company found out that their customers could be interested in a similar smartphone service.
Smartphone applications have become rather vital these days as more and more people are looking for new and fast methods of finding the information they are interested in. Whether it is the next days’ weather or the noise level that our ears are subject to, all smartphone users have to do is grab their phones, tap the name of the app and results will surely unfold.
Lufthansa, however, is the first flight company to try to provide support for their customers by simplifying the modern smartphone technology. According to the recent announcement that the German company has made, clients will be able to follow the real-time evolution of their flight by simply watching the app on their Apple watches.
Lufthansa’s officials have further disclosed that the app will notify customers a day before their flight is scheduled. Moreover, the app offers information about the status of the flight, the boarding time, the terminals, the gates and seats that have been assigned upon the purchase of the ticket.
The Apple watch app has also been provided with a timer, so users can easily keep track of the remaining time. This feature could turn particularly useful to customers who don’t want to wait at the gates and would rather stay outside the facilities of the airport.
The decision to elaborate an app for Apple’s smartphone watch comes after the boarding committee of Lufthansa agreed that the company should also resort to online methods to attract customers.
Lufthansa has always cared to provide support for their customers either on board their flights or within their international airport. The German company, however, feels the mobile field has not been fully covered; therefore, marketing experts will develop new smartphone platforms for a better connection with their clients.
The mobile app is only available for Apple’s watches. The program is not compatible with other smartphones, but new partnerships might be signed if the smartphone app turns out to be popular among Lufthansa’s customers.
The app may be downloaded on Miles & More. Users who do not have a Miles & More card or who do not have access to this company will have to wait until the app becomes available on other online shops, as well.
